Why hire an independent photographer?
Independent photographers aren't limited by the policies of the photography studios. They also
pay more personal attention to the specific needs of your wedding or event and you're never stuck
with a photographer you don't know. If you like me, you can hire me, and you get me.
"My cousin can shoot my wedding for a hundred bucks, why do you charge so much?"
While your cousin probably knows what he's doing, how much experience does he have? Can he post his
pictures online for your guests? Can he make an album? Questions like this are also very important.
You only get to do this once. I never pressure anyone to hire me, but I can't stress enough the need
to at least look into it, and make sure that whoever you do hire is experienced and competent enough
to not leave you disappointed.
Why do I need a deposit?
I need to make sure your date is yours. Especially in the case of a wedding. Once I receive your
deposit, I'll block out the entire time you book me for. Also, the deposit covers any materials I
might need (which must be ordered) prior to your date, such as book cloth for your album.
